About LEAD Ohio

Our mission

At LEAD Ohio, our goal is to make a difference in communities across Ohio by recruiting, training, supporting, and empowering progressive leaders in all regions of the state.

What we do

LEAD Ohio fills a unique gap in Ohio’s progressive infrastructure through a series of training programs designed for community leaders with a special focus on equity for groups who are underrepresented in government. This includes, but is not limited to, women, people of color, Millennials / Gen Zs and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Who can train with LEAD ohio?

We welcome progressives from all backgrounds! We've found that those who benefit most from our trainings include community leaders and activists, nonprofit leaders, campaign operatives and volunteers, and potential candidates for public office.

Why train with LEAD Ohio?

At LEAD Ohio, we pride ourselves on offering the most comprehensive progressive leadership and campaign training programs in the state, alongside weekend workshops, all taught by some of the most seasoned experts in their respective fields in Ohio.

LEAD Ohio sets itself apart from many other training organizations not only by the depth of our training, but also by offering a uniquely “Ohio” experience in that we train with an eye on state rules and regulations, culture, and issues of specific importance to Ohioans.
